Unable to create a new Reportance file


Users in a Citrix or managed Terminal Services environment are sometimes unable to create a new Reportance file, and receive the following error message:

"Failed to create database, confirm you have both read and write access to the attempted file save location and try again."


The issue is due to the user not having read/write permissions to the location where they are attempting to create the new Reportance file.


The user cannot read/write to the location because the network administrator has forbidden it. Accordingly, the user should select a folder that they do have read/write permissions on when creating the Reportance file.
